'As I pass into the next epoch of my life, surrendering myself to the uncertainty that is the unknown, I am estranged. Estranged from my own culture in New Zealand, estranged from faces and words, estranged from knowing if and where I belong, estranged from certainty. A recent memory of blurred visions, of traversing through the bush by the ocean. A dream; a reverie manifested from dream to reality to dream again.'
